What we hear

The problems that keep coming up

Four things we hear on almost every first call in this sector. If two or more sound familiar, the fix is usually structural rather than a bigger budget.

  • A franchisee verifies the location on a personal Gmail account, then sells the unit and leaves with it. Five years of reviews, photographs and Q&A now sit behind an address nobody at the brand controls, and Google will not simply hand it back.

  • Item 11 of the FDD obliges every unit to pay into the brand fund. When the only report back is a national television flight, the franchisee whose lobby is empty concludes the fund is a tax. Co-op renewals get contentious for exactly this reason.

  • Forty units and the franchisor all bidding on the same trademark drives the brand-term cost per click up against itself, and serves ads inside protected territories. What looks like an auction problem is actually a franchise agreement problem.

  • Most multi-location sites generate location pages from a template with the city name swapped in. Google treats near-identical pages as one, so the unit that opened last month never surfaces for the searches happening two miles from its door.

  • Recruiting a franchisee means persuading someone with liquid capital across a twelve-month decision, through portals that sell the same enquiry to four brands. Running it out of the customer funnel produces candidates who wanted a discount coupon.

  • A development page quoting average unit volume is a financial performance representation. If the figure is not in Item 19 of the FDD, the FTC Franchise Rule makes that landing page a legal exposure rather than a marketing asset.

Our approach

How We Fix It for Franchise

Four moves, in this order. The sequence matters more than any individual tactic.

01

Every Account Registered to You

The domain, the ad accounts, the tracking numbers, the Business Profiles and the location group all sit in the franchisor's name from day one. Nothing in your system is held hostage by an agency login.

02

We Build Both Funnels

Across sixteen years and 3,000-plus businesses we have built the customer funnel and the franchise development funnel, often for the same brand. They share a logo and nothing else.

03

We Report to the Franchisee Too

Each unit sees its own numbers — its calls, its bookings, what its fund contribution bought. Co-op support survives on visibility, and the systems that lose it lose it here.

04

We Work Inside Your Compliance

Earnings language checked against Item 19, development advertising restricted to states where the system is filed, and brand standards enforced in the template rather than in a PDF nobody reads.

05

Published Pricing, 30-Day Terms

Our starting price is published, terms are thirty days and there is no long lock-in. A system adding units through the year should not renegotiate a contract every time it grows.

What we do for you

Everything a franchise business needs, under one team

Website solutions

  • One domain with a locations directory, giving every unit an indexable page rather than an entry in a dropdown
  • Location pages carrying the unit's own hours, team, photographs, services and reviews — enough genuine difference that Google keeps all of them
  • LocalBusiness schema per unit with parentOrganization pointing back to the brand, so the entity graph resolves the way it should
  • A franchisee editing layer that permits local content inside brand-locked templates, typography and colour
  • Store locator built on the real territory boundaries in the franchise agreement, not a radius circle drawn on a map
  • New-unit provisioning: page, listings, tracking number and opening assets generated from one onboarding form

Lead generation

  • Territory-accurate routing by ZIP list, polygon or drive-time — the enquiry reaches the unit that contractually owns it
  • A franchise development funnel kept entirely separate, screening liquid capital, net worth, timeline and target territory before a call is booked
  • Local Services Ads at unit level where the category qualifies, with each licence and insurance record filed against its own franchisee
  • Call tracking numbers issued per unit and per channel, so fund contribution can be reported back by location
  • Grand opening playbooks covering pre-launch, opening week and the ninety days that decide whether a unit survives
  • Portal and broker enquiries from Franchise Gator, Franchise Direct and the IFPG networks pulled into one pipeline instead of four inboxes

Marketing

  • A documented brand-term policy every unit signs up to, ending the auction where the system outbids itself
  • National budget spent on category demand and brand defence; local budget spent on the radius that actually converts
  • Local SEO per unit — Business Profile categories, services, photographs and review handling, managed at system scale
  • Co-op reporting that shows each contributing unit what its fund bought, in calls and booked jobs rather than impressions
  • Generative engine optimisation, because a customer asking an assistant for the nearest location gets a name with no map and no link
  • Development advertising fenced to your registration status, so the offer is not advertised into a state where the system is not filed

Social media

  • Brand-approved content libraries franchisees publish from, so local posting stops meaning off-brand posting
  • Location pages created under the brand's business manager rather than by whoever happened to open the store
  • Local paid social run with unit-level audiences from one account, keeping pixel data and creative approval in one place
  • Review response at scale across Google, Yelp and Facebook, with escalation to the franchisor when a complaint is a brand issue
  • Development content aimed at candidates — unit economics discussion, day-in-the-life and validation stories from existing owners

CRM & GoHighLevel

  • GoHighLevel or FranConnect pipelines kept strictly apart: customer enquiries in one, franchise candidates in another
  • A sub-account per unit built from a shared snapshot, so a new franchisee inherits a working funnel on day one
  • Development stages that mirror the real sequence — enquiry, application, FDD receipt, validation calls, Discovery Day, signing
  • Speed-to-lead SMS sent from the local unit's own number, because a national 800 number reads as a call centre
  • Franchisor-level visibility across every pipeline without taking the records out of the franchisee's hands

Automation

  • FDD delivery logged with a timestamp, because the FTC Franchise Rule counts its waiting period from the date of receipt
  • Long-cycle nurture for development candidates, measured in months rather than the three emails a customer funnel sends
  • New-unit onboarding: listings claimed, page published, numbers provisioned and review requests running from opening week
  • Missed-call text-back at unit level, where a franchisee working the floor genuinely cannot answer the phone
  • Review requests triggered from the point-of-sale or job-management software each unit already runs

E-commerce

  • Online ordering routed to the nearest participating unit, with the revenue attributed where it was earned
  • Gift cards and loyalty balances valid system-wide, settling back to the location that redeemed them
  • Franchisee supply and merchandise portals kept separate from the consumer store
  • Delivery marketplace listings held consistent with in-store menus and pricing across every location

Features this sector actually needs

  • Location Pages That Index

Each unit gets its own hours, team, photographs, service list and reviews. Enough genuine difference that Google keeps all of them rather than folding them into one.

  • Territory-Aware Lead Routing

Leads routed by the polygon or ZIP list in the franchise agreement, not a radius circle. The unit that owns the territory gets the enquiry, in seconds.

  • Profile Ownership Under the Brand

Every Google Business Profile held in a brand-owned location group with the franchisee as manager. When a unit changes hands, the reviews and photographs stay put.

  • Brand-Locked Local Editing

Franchisees change hours, staff photographs and local offers. They cannot change the logo, the palette or the trademark claims — the template does not expose those fields.

  • Co-Op Fund Reporting

Each contributing unit sees its own line: spend in, calls out, cost per booked job. The quarterly co-op meeting stops being an argument about faith.

  • Franchise Development Funnel

A separate site section, separate ad accounts and separate pipeline for candidates — screened on liquid capital, net worth, timeline and target territory before a call is booked.

  • Registration-State Ad Controls

Development campaigns excluded from states where the system is not filed to offer, and earnings language checked against Item 19 before anything goes live.

  • New-Unit Provisioning

One onboarding form generates the location page, the Business Profile, the tracking number, the listings and the opening campaign. The two hundredth unit costs what the tenth did.

  • Brand-Term Peace Treaty

One documented policy on who bids what, enforced across every unit account, so the system stops paying a premium to outbid itself on its own trademark.

Book a call

Usually, and it is worth doing before the unit changes hands rather than after. Google runs a request-access process where the current owner has a window to respond, and unresponsive profiles can be transferred. Where the franchisee is cooperative it is a two-minute change. Once recovered, we move every location into a brand-owned location group with the franchisee added as manager, so operational control stays local while ownership stays with the system.
