GEO / AI Search

AI-Assisted Website Development

We use AI across research, drafting, code scaffolding and QA to build faster. Every output is reviewed by the person whose name is on the work. Nothing ships because a model produced it.

The problem

Two failure modes, opposite and both expensive. One is pretending AI changes nothing and charging for hours it now takes minutes to do. The other is shipping generated code and copy unreviewed — which produces sites full of confident errors, invented statistics and security holes nobody read.

How we do it

What the work actually involves

/01

Where it actually helps

Competitor research, first-draft copy, component scaffolding, test generation, migration scripts, accessibility and content QA passes. These are places where a fast draft that a human then fixes is genuinely faster than starting from nothing.

/02

Where we do not use it

Anything asserting a fact about your business, any statistic, any legal or medical copy, and any security-relevant code without review. The cost of a plausible-sounding error in those places is much higher than the time saved.

/03

The site is built to be cited by AI too

Server-rendered HTML, clean structured data, answer-first content. Building with AI and building to be found by AI are different things; we do both, and the second one is the part that compounds.

/04

You are told what was AI-assisted

Plainly, in the handover. It is your site and your reputation attached to the copy.

Still deciding

  • GEO vs SEO

Same foundations, different target and different measurement. GEO is not a replacement for SEO and nobody should sell it as one.

Common failures

Where this usually goes wrong

The three we are called in to fix most often. If any of these describe your current setup, that is the first thing we would change.

  • Shipping generated output unreviewed

Models are confidently wrong often enough that publishing without review is a liability, not a saving. Invented statistics and plausible-looking security holes both arrive fully formed and reading perfectly well.

  • Charging as though nothing changed

Research and first drafts genuinely compress. Pretending they still take the same hours is dishonest, and clients work it out.

  • Building it so AI cannot read it

Using AI to build a client-rendered site that AI crawlers cannot index is a specific kind of irony we see regularly. Building with it and building to be found by it are different jobs.

  • Letting the model choose the architecture

A model will happily produce a working answer to the wrong question. Platform choice, data model and integration strategy are judgement calls with a decade of consequences, and they belong to a person.

Measurement

How you will know it is working

Agreed before we start, so progress is visible in the months before it shows up in revenue.

Schedule compression
Measured against a comparable non-assisted build. Around 30% on a marketing site, and we quote the real figure rather than the marketing one.

Google penalises unhelpful content, whatever produced it. Its guidance is explicitly about quality rather than authorship. In practice bulk-generated pages get filtered because they are thin and derivative, not because a model wrote them — the mechanism is quality, and it bites either way.
