The problem

Most audits are a 90-page PDF of tool exports with no priority order. Everything is flagged red, nothing is costed, and the client cannot tell which three items would actually move revenue — so nothing gets done and the audit becomes an expensive document.

How we do it

What the work actually involves

/01

Ranked by expected impact, not by tool severity

A tool cannot know that your highest-margin service page has no internal links. Every finding is scored against your revenue, not against a generic severity scale, so the ordering reflects your business.

/02

Each finding shows its evidence

The URL, the screenshot, the crawl data or the Search Console query that proves it. You should be able to verify any claim in the document yourself, and challenge the ones you disagree with.

/03

Competitor gap, specifically

Not "competitors have more content" but the exact queries where three named competitors rank and you do not, and what those pages do that yours does not.

/04

Yours to take anywhere

The audit is a fixed fee and a standalone deliverable. There is no obligation to have us implement it, and it is written to be actionable by any competent team.

Common failures

Where this usually goes wrong

The three we are called in to fix most often. If any of these describe your current setup, that is the first thing we would change.

  • Buying a free audit

A free audit is a sales document. It finds whatever the agency happens to sell, at whatever severity justifies the retainer. The tell is that every finding is red and none of them is costed.

  • Auditing without business context

A tool cannot know that one page is 40% of your revenue and another is a careers post. Without that, the findings come back sorted by tool severity, which has nothing to do with what is worth fixing first.

  • No owner against any line

An audit that does not say who does each item and what "done" looks like becomes a document people agree with. Six months later nothing has shipped and everyone remembers agreeing.

Measurement

How you will know it is working

Agreed before we start, so progress is visible in the months before it shows up in revenue.

Findings shipped
The only honest measure of an audit in the first month. Not findings identified — findings live in production.
Weeks 2–6
Revenue at stake, addressed
Each finding carries an estimate of what it is costing. Progress is the share of that total which has been fixed.
Ongoing
Re-crawl delta
The same crawl re-run after implementation. Error counts should fall to the numbers predicted in the audit, or the diagnosis was wrong.

Book a call

It is a fixed fee based on site size, quoted before we start — no hourly overrun. A typical marketing site of under 200 pages sits at the lower end. You can also start free with our SEO audit tool, which runs the technical checks on any URL and will tell you whether a paid audit is even worth buying.
