The problem

Most paid traffic lands on a homepage. The ad promised one specific thing, the page offers nine, and the visitor has to work out which link continues the thought they arrived with. That gap is where the budget goes.

How we do it

What the work actually involves

/01

Message match, ad by ad

The headline continues the sentence the ad started. Different ad groups get different pages when the promise differs — the cost of building the variant is almost always less than the cost of the mismatch.

/02

One decision per page

Navigation removed, one action, and every element on the page either supports it or comes off. Anything that gives a visitor a second thing to consider is competing with the thing you paid for.

/03

A test queue, not a single build

You get the page and the next three things worth testing on it, ranked, so the page keeps improving after launch instead of being frozen the day it ships.

Common failures

Where this usually goes wrong

The three we are called in to fix most often. If any of these describe your current setup, that is the first thing we would change.

  • Sending paid traffic to the homepage

The most expensive default in any ad account. The visitor clicked a specific promise and arrives at a page that makes nine of them. It is usually the fastest available conversion fix.

  • Leaving the navigation in place

Every menu item is an exit. A landing page has one job, and links to the blog, the careers page and the company history all compete with it.

  • Asking for eleven fields

Each additional field costs completions, and most of them are questions the sales call would answer anyway. Ask for what is needed to make contact and nothing more.

Measurement

How you will know it is working

Agreed before we start, so progress is visible in the months before it shows up in revenue.

Conversion rate vs the homepage
The comparison that justifies the page existing. Measured on the same traffic source over the same period.
Weeks 2–4
Form abandonment by field
Which field people stop on. There is usually one doing disproportionate damage, and it is rarely the one assumed.
Weeks 2–4
Cost per acquisition
The number the page is actually for. Conversion rate that raises cost per customer is not an improvement.

The questions we get asked most, answered without the sales gloss. If yours is not here, ask us directly — you will get a straight answer either way.

Book a call

If you need twenty pages a month with no developer, a builder is the right tool and we will help you set one up. If you need three pages that load in under a second and match the rest of your brand, a built page is faster and cheaper to own. It is a volume question.
