The problem

A typical agency WordPress site carries a commercial page builder, a caching plugin fighting a second caching plugin, and thirty other plugins nobody can account for. It scores 30 on mobile, breaks on update, and every change needs a developer anyway — which was the thing the page builder was supposed to prevent.

How we do it

What the work actually involves

/01

Native blocks instead of a page builder

We build custom blocks in the WordPress editor. Editors compose pages from components that already match the design system, so the site cannot drift out of brand, and there is no licensed builder to renew or migrate off later.

/02

A plugin list you can defend

Every plugin is a dependency, an update risk and a security surface. We replace what we can with fifty lines of theme code and document why each survivor is there.

/03

Migrations that keep the rankings

The dangerous part of a WordPress rebuild is the URLs. We inventory every indexed page first, map redirects before the build, and verify them against live crawl data afterwards — because traffic lost to a bad redirect map takes months to earn back.

Still deciding

  • Next.js vs WordPress

A content site your team edits daily, or an application that happens to have marketing pages. That is the real question.

  • Shopify vs WooCommerce

Shopify is rented and reliable. WooCommerce is owned and yours to keep running. Both sell fine.

Book a call

Often, no. WordPress serves HTML natively, which is most of what search engines need, and your team already knows the editor. The honest reasons to move are a genuine application requirement, an editorial workflow WordPress cannot express, or a plugin estate that has become unmaintainable. "It feels dated" is not one, and a rebuild that loses your redirect map costs more than it returns.
